Art at Powell’s
We aim to make art and design stimulating, engaging and an integral part of pupil’s education, often linking in with topic work and other areas of the curriculum to give purpose and relevance to their work.
We weave art into all parts of the curriculum from Early Years right up to Year 6. Art can help bring topics to life for a child, as well as helping them develop their own skills. Children learn drawing, painting, printing and sculpture as well as other art, craft and design techniques
In the summer term, art goes outside, as you can see from this lovely parrot the children created on the playground surface.
