Year 5: Class 12

Wellbeing at Powell’s

Wellbeing at Powell’s is a vital part of the school’s atmosphere and is very important to teachers and pupils alike. It plays a huge role in our curriculum and the staff are always there to lend a helping hand and to talk to. At Powell’s we have ‘Wellbeing Wonders’ who get elected by their class at the start of each year and have meetings with teachers who discuss ideas to help support wellbeing throughout the school. Each year group has a dedicated adult who is part of the Wellbeing Team who offer their support should any child in the year group need someone to talk to. As you can see, wellbeing means a lot to us and is put into action wherever and whenever possible.

Francesca, Year 6

Wellbeing is extremely important to children. We try our hardest to make everybody in the school as happy as we can. As well as being a Wellbeing Wonder, it is my duty to fulfil people’s needs, like not judging people by what happens at their home or leave them out of your game which you should not do. If you are sad at school that means it will affect you at home. Be happy.
