We have great fun playing out here at playtime. If anyone is ever feeling lonely they can sit on the buddy bench and children will know to come and talk to them. We also have young leaders from Year 6 who come and help the younger children at playtimes.
Friends of Powell’s
We are incredibly well supported by our parent’s association – Friends of Powell’s – run by our parents. They raise considerable amounts of money for us every year by holding brilliant events such as the school fete, Easter competitions and quiz nights for parents. The money raised supports the school in many ways – from purchasing ICT equipment, keeping our library well stocked, sports equipment, fun events for the children. The list is endless. They are also arrange wonderful events for the children including an annual whole school trip to Gifford’s Circus and a magical Christmas Fayre.
